Brompton Cemetery

5 April 2011

Brompton is one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ cemeteries that opened between 1833 and 1841 around London. Grade II listed, it remains true to the aims of its Victorian designers as a serene and uplifting experience for visitors, with its impressive colonnades and splendid domed Anglican Chapel. On our tour we learn about funereal symbolism and superstition as well as the social and architectural history of this important nature conservation area.

This event is also taking place on 30 June 2011
