The British Library, created in 1973, is one of the world’s largest research libraries, holding over 150 million items. We tour this iconic building, discover the inspiration for its design and learn about the management of the ever-expanding collection. We also visit the Sir John Ritblat Gallery which holds sacred texts, examples of early printing, and a collection of literary, scientific and musical works.
