Abney Park Cemetery

Friends Only

27 February 2013

Opened in 1840 as one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ London cemeteries, Abney Park was widely celebrated as a fine example of a non- denominational garden cemetery. It was the first cemetery in England to use ‘Egyptian revival’ architecture. We examine its unique features, including the derelict gothic Chapel designed by William Hosking FSA.

This event is also taking place on 6 March 2013
