Built for Huguenots in 1719, 19 Princelet Street is a unique site of international historical significance with an acclaimed exhibition that celebrates how different communities over the centuries have shaped Spitalfields, London and Britain. The shabby eighteenth-century frontage conceals 300 years of immigration and thousands of memories. We learn about its unique architecture including the tiny Victorian synagogue in the garden. By special arrangement we tour this building, which is rarely open to the public, and explore with expert guides its simple yet beautiful interior and exhibits.
