This exclusive tour for Friends explores the Italian Embassy’s architecture and fine collection of furniture, tapestries and paintings.
No. 4 Grosvenor Square has been the London home of the Italian Embassy since its ‘subtle Italianisation’ by Lord Gerald Wellesley in 1932. Highlights of our tour include Roman vedute by Giovanni Panini, landscapes by Alessandro Magnasco and a set of grotteschi tapestries commissioned by Grand Duke Cosimo I in 1545.
