Reconnect with your source energy through the power of the gongs.
Join the RA Schools for a sound guided meditation for inner reflection, relaxation and well being, conducted by sound artist Lola Ulalume. You will be bathed in the sounds of the Gongs, under the nurturing power of a Virgo Full Moon.
Sound vibrations have a profound effect over the mind, body and soul, as sound resonates not just through our ears, but our entire being. When one is aware of and in tune with the power of their vibrational being, it naturally brings them back into connection with themselves and source energy, allowing harmony to flow in their lives. The gong gives us a great opportunity to explore this with such ease and connection to ones true self.
The gong ceremony will run alongside the Friday late opening of Premiums: Interim Projects, which features the work of second year students currently at the RA Schools. So you can wander the galleries after emerging in a newly enlightened state. You will be lying down in the grand Senate Rooms of the Royal Academy; yoga mats will be provided for your comfort but do also bring a blanket or pillow if you feel the need.
Lola Ulalume has been working with her voice and the gongs in various musical sound experiments over the years, and now the gong has lead her to her primal roots. Entranced by the intensity of the gong, she has been compelled to explore the full depths of its ancient wisdom and healing power. Experience these deep healing vibrations as the gong leads you on a sound journey of the soul.
