Dr Johnson’s House
Thursday 12 March 2015 6 - 8pm
17 Gough Square, EC4
£26. Friends only.
Friends of the RA book first
At this curator led evening event, Friends will enjoy a private visit to Dr Johnson’s house, one of the few residential houses of its age that survives in the City of London.
Built in 1700, it was the home and workplace of Samuel Johnson, and where he compiled the first English dictionary. After a glass of wine, Friends privately tour the house and learn about Dr. Johnson’s life and works and about his connections to the RA.
