High profile sponsorship oppportunities

The RA has a number of high profile sponsorship opportunities available in 2009, including:

Lucas Cranach
8 March – 8 June 2008
Sackler Wing of Galleries
Lucas Cranach was a master of the Northern Renaissance. This exhibition, presented by the Royal Academy of Arts in conjunction with the Stadel in Frankfurt, will bring together the most comprehensive collection of works of this sumptuous artist ever to be seen in the UK. Cranach was a connected and influential man, a court painter to multiple generations of Saxon electors and godfather to Martin Luther’s children. Cranach’s expressive work has influenced many subsequent artists including Pablo Picasso and John Currin. This important show will provide an opportune backdrop for sponsorship.

Palladio
24 January - 13 April 2009
Main Galleries
Andrea Palladio was an Italian architect from the 16th century and widely considered to be the most influential person in the history of western architecture. This exhibition will focus on Palladio’s most famous buildings, and will include intricate scale models, architectural drawings and a large number of paintings by the Venetian artist, Caneletto. The exhibition will comment on Palladio’s influence on later generations of architects, including Inigo Jones and Christopher Wren. The Palladian structure still influences architects of the 20th Century, including Le Corbusier, Philip Johnson and IM Pei.

Waterhouse

Sackler Wing of Galleries
A retrospective exhibition of the great pre-Raphaelite 19th Century artist. This exhibition, which features over 60 works from public and private collectors, is the first for over 30 years.
