The Royal Academy offers three superb event spaces right in the heart of London's West End. Both venues in Burlington House and Burlington Gardens offer a unique blend of the old and the new, suitable for a wide range of entertaining. We offer three key event spaces:
The John Madejski Fine Rooms, Burlington House
The Royal Academy's suite of newly refurbished 18th-century Fine Rooms have beautiful gilt interiors, wooden floors and marble fireplaces. They are hung with works from the permanent Collection, including Reynolds, Constable, Gainsborough and Hockney.
Available for evening receptions (capacity 350) and dinners (capacity 100), the Fine Rooms offer guests the opportunity to enjoy events surrounded by works by Britain's most famous artists, as well as well as an exclusive exhibition private views.
The Main Galleries, Burlington House
During the world-renowned Summer Exhibition, enjoy the unique opportunity to entertain in the Main Galleries, surrounded by contemporary works. Many of these works are available for purchase. The Galleries can accommodate up to 800 people for a reception and 250 for dinner.

The West Room, 6 Burlington Gardens
A new venue, the West Room, is an elegant modern space with double height windows, blond oak floors and clean white walls. The West Room offers an excellent alternative to the opulence of the Fine Rooms with its light, contemporary, warehouse atmosphere.

This versatile, central London venue is a blank canvas. It can accommodate complex builds and staging for events such as award ceremonies, product launches and fashion events, as well as evening receptions and dinners. Available during the day, the West Room is perfect for large breakfasts, lunches and seminars.
The West Room can accommodate 350 guests for a drinks reception and can seat up to 200 for a dinner dance.
