The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s leading arts institutions, dedicated to the making, exhibiting and debating of art. We now have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join the Events Team as its Assistant.
The Royal Academy’s Events Team organises a very busy programme throughout the year of over 200 fundraising, internal and corporate events including the Summer Exhibition Preview Party, Schools Annual Dinner and Auction, the opening events for our extensive exhibitions programme to name but a few. Events range from small dinners for 20 guests to glamorous receptions for over 1000 including leading individuals from across the arts world to celebrities, politicians and royalty.
This role will suit a first class administrator who is hoping to forge a career in events. The successful candidate will possess well-honed administrative skills, they will be methodical, well organised, with razor sharp attention to detail, and demonstrate a friendly and positive manner. They will ensure the smooth running of events administration.
The work will entail a significant amount of data entry, to ensure databases are kept up-to-date, answering enquiries about events, managing mailings, and greeting guests at events. The successful candidate will need some relevant office experience, strong interpersonal and IT skills, and have a genuine interest in the visual arts.
