Engineering Technician

The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, whose purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists. Its public programme promotes the creation, study and enjoyment of art to a wide range of audiences through exhibitions, education and debate.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled, formally qualified Engineering Technician with specific experience of refrigeration systems and other building services designed to deliver strict environmental conditions for the conservation of artwork, in storage and exhibition situations at the Royal Academy of Arts.

You will have an established mechanical and electrical engineering background, have previous refrigeration and building services experience and demonstrate a commitment to Health and Safety regulations preferably gained within the Arts and Heritage sector.

You will have recognised mechanical trade qualifications, possess excellent interpersonal and IT skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively in highly pressurised situations. You will be confident, enthusiastic and work well within a team of 8 Engineers.
