The Royal Academy of Arts is one of the UK’s foremost arts institutions, famous for its world class exhibitions including Byzantium, Genius of Rome, Van Gogh, and David Hockney. Its purpose is to be a clear, strong voice for art and artists. Its public programme promotes the creation, study and enjoyment of art to a wide range of audiences through exhibitions, education and debate.
A registered charity, it relies heavily on the generosity of its Friends and supporters to ensure its continued success. Its Regular Giving team requires an experienced assistant to provide general administrative support to the senior managers, produce marketing and promotional material, and maintain a database of Friends membership.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional administrator with experience of working in a marketing environment where they’ve had to adhere to brand guidelines and apply their creative eye. They will also process application subscriptions, handle payments and compile reports.
Applicants must be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload across different teams and deadlines. Strong IT skills, together with an eye for detail and database knowledge (preferably Raisers’ Edge) are essential alongside first class interpersonal and communication skills and a keen interest in visual arts and the work of the Royal Academy.
