The RA is mounting its most ambitious architectural exhibition in January 2014, working with architectural practices from around the globe. We have an exceptional opportunity for an architecture graduate (or similar) to gain hands on experience of its preparation.
The volunteer will assist the Heinz Curator of Architecture. They will have a keen interest in curation and exhibition production and possess strong organisational and research skills. They will be articulate and confident, with excellent communication skills to build effective working relationships both with internal and external stakeholders. First class drafting and excellent written English skills are essential.
The RA will reimburse reasonable travel expenses within London to/from work up to £10 per day and provide a half-price discount at the RA restaurant (not between 12-2pm), half price at the cafe and 20% discount at the RA Shop. Other benefits include free access to all RA Exhibitions and free entry to many exhibitions in major London galleries.

Friends Volunteers

Unpaid volunteer work
We have a few of vacancies for Friends Volunteers. The posts are to work weekends and are specifically for Friends Members who are interested in becoming more involved in the work of the RA. Volunteers will assist permanent staff members at the Friends Desk in Burlington House.
To volunteer for the post you must be a Friends Member and be able to commit to working either Saturday or Sunday for a minimum of 3 weekends per month. Daily hours are from 10 am to 1 pm or 1pm to 4pm.
