Satire on quack physicians, including caricature likenesses of the noted bone-setter Sarah Mapp, the quack oculist John Taylor (1703-72), and the medicine maker Dr Joshua Ward (1685-1761). All three were frequently referred to in the papers and in popular songs in 1736, the year the print was made.
