Over Spring 2011, the RA Architecture Programme continues its exploration of landscape through two lectures by contemporary architects and an exhibition in The Architecture Space (18 March—12 June 2011).

Chilean architect Mathias Klotz has gained worldwide recognition over the past 15 years for work that ranges from exquisite single family homes set in dramatic landscapes, to inspirational public buildings. Monday 18 April SOLD OUT
This Swedish architectural practice led by Bolle Tham and Martin Videgård produces buildings that are characteristically varied and unique, as they find intriguing and innovative responses to the specific brief and context. They discuss projects from interior design and private houses to educational buildings, art museums, and the recently completed Tree hotel. Read more

Highway 2009 by Suzanne Moxhay Courtesy of the artist This exhibition explores the ways that artists and architects can reframe our perceptions of, and relationship to, landscape. Featuring the Rolex Centre in Lausanne designed by Japanese architectural practice SANAA and works by artists Jane and Louise Wilson and Suzanne Moxhay, they illustrate the power to evoke fundamental emotional responses that conjures connections to history, memory, identity and belonging.
